LRC 35th Anniversary Party 9/21/12 at Radio Bar!
Wow, what a night. I think we can safely say the LRC 35th anniversary party was a major success. Glitches? Oh there were some major glitches but let's be positive and concentrate on the good stuff. Great food from City Girl, Emma's and JP Licks, dealing with Zac from Gansett, those who helped us out at Radio, Drew and his balloons and Artie Freedman and his videos of bands both past and present.
And we can all agree that the bands just killed it. Cocked n Loaded played the hard rock covers as if they're out on the circuit doing that every night. Guest vocalist Kerri Ann banged out GnR like she had practiced with them. And I can't stress enough how well the Shirt Lifters did learning 21 songs with 7 different singers, making it all gel so perfectly and segueing songs as if they do this all the time. Big props to Zack, Kyle, Mike, Matt and Rob of CnL and to the many people who made up the Shirt Lifters: Tom, Johnny, Joe, Hank, Vic, Troy, Tommy, Richie, Kurt and Paul. And thanks to the crowd of course for showing up, singing along, and having a sloppy but well-behaved time. We'll keep playing the loud rock on WMBR, I hope you'll all keep listening.
