Ian MacKaye is not dead. Why did such a silly rumor gain so much traction in the first place?

Hockey isn’t dead either, despite what ESPN will have you believe. The real regular season starts tonight! A short set of hockey songs in there to celebrate. You’d think with the age of the digital download and easy recording opportunities, there would be more “novelty” songs and albums floating around than ever before, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. These three were recorded in the 90’s (“The Hockey Song” was originally written and performed by Stompin’ Tom Connors in 1973).
